Speech of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Indonesian Intellectuals

Mohammad Broujerdi Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Jakarta delivered a speech at a roundtable meeting held on 2 January 2026 with the participation of a significant number of active Indonesian intellectuals. The meeting was organized around the theme “Islamic Principles and Foundations in the Foreign Policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

 

Mohammad Broujerdi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Jakarta, delivered a speech on 2 January 2026 (12 Dey 1404) as part of the weekly “Halaqa” series (Weekly AWM Halaqa), which is held online every week under the management of Indonesian intellectual Dr. Abdul Wahid Maktub, with the participation of a significant number of active Indonesian thinkers and scholars.

The session was dedicated to the topic of “Islamic Principles and Foundations in the Foreign Policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran”.

In his address, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while outlining the principles of the country’s foreign policy as enshrined in the Constitution, elaborated on concepts such as the rejection of domination and submission, the defense of the rights of Muslims and the oppressed, and the pursuit of just and peaceful conduct in relations with non-hostile states.
