Iran- Indonesia 70th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations 7th Iran-Indonesia Policy Planning Dialogue
Bilateral relations
The 7th Policy Planning Dialogue(virtual meeting) has been held participated by the Institute for the Political and International Studies(IPIS) of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of Iran, the Policy Analysis and Development Agency (PADA) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, the Head of Missions of the two Embassies, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Indonesia and Chargés d'affaires ad interim of Indonesia in Tehran, all regional Director Generals of the MFA, I.R. Iran and attended by approximately 30 Diplomats and experts of the two sides on 25/8/20It is noteworthy to mention that this meeting coincides with the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic relations of the two countries. As the keynote speaker in the opening ceremony, Dr. Sajjadpour, the head of the office for the Political and International Studies felicitated the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations by pinpointing the historical, cultural and diplomatic relations of the two countries. As well, Dr. Siswo Pramono the head of Policy Analysis and Development Agency (PADA), while congratulating the anniversary, put significant importance on dialog and exchange of ideas during the Covid-19 Pandemic. He, then, referred to the importance of East Asia which is turning to a new hub due to the economic growth as well as the contribution of the young and productive population Denoting the ongoing programs to commemorate the anniversary, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran reiterated that the profundity of such relations signposts a bright future for the two sidesThis meeting was organized in separate panels on subjects as the World under the Impact of Covid-19 Pandemic and International Relations, Foreign Diplomacy and track-change diplomacy under the influence of Covid -19, the bilateral relations of Iran and Indonesia, regional issues; West Asia, Persian Gulf and ASEAN and was ended by Q& A session
